Our lives changed forever on March 11, 2020, when the WHO declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. The virus a disease caused by SARS-CoV-2 triggers what doctors call a respiratory tract infection. To date, the virus has claimed the lives of 5.6 million people worldwide, according to statistics from worldometers.com

Since then there have been numerous research projects to understand the virus, develop better testing, and see some of the impact it has had.  MD+DI is looking at six different COVID-19-related research projects that have the potential to make a difference in the battle against COVID-19.
