How Can You Print the Human Body? (infographic)

I have written about California startup Organovo before and their intention to create functional human tissue using 3D bioprinting and one day sell those tissue as approved medical devices approved by the FDA. For now, the company is trying to work with pharma companies to cost effectively manage the drug development process as well as provide a way to develop more clnically improved products.

But this infographic, created by Printerinks.com, with the help of Organovo, provides both a historical context and a future roadmap of where bioprinting is headed.
