| FDA Imports Slideshow: Port Shipment Reviews |
FDA has authority to examine a shipment to see if the contents match what was declared to customs and border protection (CBP). This applies to any FDA regulated products, including medical devices and components. If the products are in compliance with US Laws the shipment is electronically released or “may proceeded.” If the shipment is not in compliance, it is “refused entry” into the United States and you will have 90 days to bring the shipment back to customs custody for exportation back to the country it was shipped from or be destroyed.
