Armed with 3-D Printers, Amateurs Challenge the Medtech Paradigm: Artistic Leg

When Natasha Hope-Simpson lost her leg below the knee after a hit-and-run accident at age 24, she found the prosthesis she received to be functional but not particularly attractive. The Canadian art student teamed with robotics company Thinking Robot Studios to design a 3-D printed prototype that was more aesthetically pleasing.
