What is Medtech Color? Why is there a need for it?

Kwame Ulmer, one of the 15 African American leaders that met for dinner on that fateful night  in San Jose, CA, in 2017, to come up with the concept for the organization, spoke with Let’s Talk Medtech.

MedTech Color is an organization that aims to build a cohesive community of leaders of color in MedTech, increase the number of underrepresented executives who enter and stay in the industry, and drive thought leadership.

The organization has had some significant initiatives and partnerships.

It will also host the annual MedTech Color Breakfast, which will take place Sept. 29, 2021 in Minneapolis, MN at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis in conjunction with the MedTech Conference 2021, which is being held as we speak.  Interested parties can participate in person or virtually and register here.

The organization has also recently partnered with California Life Sciences (CLS) to launch a MedTech Color Track as part of the Fall FAST program. Founded in 2013, FAST provides select early-stage startups and academic researchers with intensive team review and coaching to perfect their business model and create a compelling commercialization strategy.
