Vendor conferences, while costly, prove a healthy ROI

I’m a big fan of companies that host their own user conferences. In the past, I’ve attended many of these, including those from Intel, Microsoft, Freescale, National Instruments, and so on. I quite aware that there can be an expense associated with such events, and in some cases, a significant expense. But if these companies didn’t think they were getting the appropriate ROI, I doubt they would be hosting them.

One vendor, EtQ, recently hosted its 14th annual user conference. There must be some value of the company continues to host these events after 14 years. The company claimed to have a record turnout for its three-day conference.

As is in the past, the event was designed as a venue for customers to showcase their innovations, learn about EtQ’s products and features, and network with their peers. Attendees were even given a look at enhancements made to the company’s latest release, Reliance 8.0.
