The MedTech Group Acquires with Advanced Polymers

The MedTech Group (South Plainfield, NJ), has closed its merger with Advanced Polymers, which spedicalizes in heat-shrink tubing, balloon making, and catheter design. Advanced Polymers joins design specialists at TDC Medical in The MedTech Group’s integrated family of companies. The combined offerings include full-scale design and development and global contract manufacturing for complex components and devices. The acquisition strengthens MedTech’s initiatives in catheter technologies.

Additionally, Advanced Polymers proprietary polymer processing and expertise in heat shrink tubing, custom extruded medical tubing and balloons provide a complement to MedTech’s expertise in complex injection molding and device design and assembly. The merger provides Advanced Polymers with access to MedTech’s global facilities, including its assembly operation in Costa Rica. It also brings the more than 100 engineers in design, quality, and manufacturing together for collaboration.
