Mergers and Acquisitions
Fortitude Group Inc. (Erie, PA), whose portfolio include medical devices, has acquired Legacy Life Sciences, a maker of airwary management systems. The acquisition is the company first in its medical division.
Executive Moves
The founder and executive chairman of orthopedics company Small Bone Innovations (Morrisville, PA) will leave his post. Anthony G. Viscogliosi plans to return to merchant banking, but he will continue to sit on the company's boad of directors.
Surgical robotics maker Medrobotics Corp. (Raynham, MA) has appointed Richard S. Wash, formerly of NeoTract, vice president of global sales.
Peggy Welch, a former Indiana state representative and oncology nurse, has been named executive director of the Indiana Medical Device Manufacturers Council (Indianapolis).
Funding
Imaging company Alliance HealthCare Services Inc. (Newport Beach, CA) is moving its stock listing from the New York Stock Exchange to the NASDAQ on February 11. The company's ticker symbol will remain AIQ. CEO and chairman Larry C. Buckelew hopes the move will promote corporate visibility and trading liquidity, according to a press release.
