A hearing device from Sonitus Medical Inc. has been ranked #1 on Cleveland Clinic's Top 10 Medical Innovations for 2010. The SoundBite hearing system is an investigational new bone conduction device intended initially for single sided deafness (SSD), a usually permanent condition. It is a nonsurgical and removable hearing device that transmits sound via the teeth.The 'Top 10' list was unveiled during Cleveland Clinic's 2009 Medical Innovation Summit.
