J&J Picks Up Micrus Endovascular
J&J (New Brunswick, NJ) has added stroke and aneurysm treatments to its product portfolio with the acquisition of San Jose-based Micrus Endovascular. The company will pay $480 million for Micrus. Both companies approved the deal, which now will await shareholder approval. Competition continues to heat up in the endovascular market, as Covidien is also reportedly getting closer to purchasing ev3.
