"These modules are a preconfigured system based on best practices and FDA guidelines."The automated system is designed to be easy to administer out of the box. "It takes the burden out of the product life cycle. It also enables a low total cost of ownership," Lowe said. The information is hosted on Matster Control's servers, and the company accesses its data via password using a Web browser. Master Control provides the system administration. The software is aimed at medical device companies that are struggling with the burden of a paper-based system but are not yet ready for a custom system, Lowe said.
