Could a Microchip Implant Cause Cancer?

Article-Could a Microchip Implant Cause Cancer?

It's possible, according to a series of studies from the mid-1990s. The RFID chip, manufactured by VeriChip Corp., is implanted via an injection in the upper arm and link with medical records kept at hospitals or a doctor's office.

The Associated Press is reporting that veterinary and toxicology studies found that the RFID implants "induced" malignant tumors in lab mice and rats. While cancer specialists have warned these results might not be applicable to humans, they're also pushing for further research before the implants are more widely used in humans.
