Web Site Connects OEMs and R&D Students

A new Web site connects university students and OEMs that have a common interest in R&D.

The Web site, www.freeRandD.com, hopes to make medical and other businesses aware of the many students who are looking for R&D projects to work on. According to the Web site, universities often require undergraduate and graduate students to do a capstone project that involves working with a business on a new idea or process. Such relationships are beneficial to the students in that they learn how to work in a business environment and the inherent expectations.

However, OEMs may benefit from such partnerships as well. They can interact with university students who are knowledgeable in the latest advances in various fields of study and who can employ the latest technology and tools available at the universities. In addition, OEMs can identify possible candidates for hiring in the future.
