The SBL-series connector systems are designed to be intuitive, easy to use, safe, secure, and reliable.

Value Plastics (Fort Collins, CO), a company specializing in precision plastic components, has unveiled two new products at MD&M West. Suited for use in such fluid applications as wound drainage, respiratory equipment, and endoscopic tube sets, the SBL-series connector systems are designed to be intuitive, easy to use, safe, secure, and reliable."Connectors should be easy to understand and use, whether by professionals or by the consumer at home," says Jim Pisula, vice president of marketing. "Every aspect of the SBL series—from the color selections to the quick-snap fitting—was intentionally designed to cut down on the likelihood of human error and ultimately provide an added level of security for healthcare fluid applications."In addition to the SBL series, Value Plastics took advantage of the convergence of the medical device industry at MD&M West to announce the introduction of the SCV-series check valves. Offered in a variety of medical-grade materials, the double check valve features low priming volume and ease of removing air bubbles during priming. The valves can be used in infusion, drainage, and irrigation applications.
