A dual-station x-y-z robotic dispensing system is designed to optimize adhesive dispensing and product assembly by eliminating such problems as adhesive out of position, too much or not enough adhesive, excessive waste and scrap, and high production costs. The system accurately and quickly dispenses one- and two-part adhesives and sealants such as silicone, epoxy, urethane, and acrylic. It precisely places dispense quantities in bonding, gasketing, potting, encapsulating, molding, and sealing applications and stores dispensing programs specific to each part for rapid recall at the start of a production cycle. As a two-station system, it can apply one adhesive to two different parts having two different bead paths or apply two different adhesives to one part. In addition, the system can maximize the production rate by processing two identical parts. Generally, one part is processed in one station while the other station is unloaded and then loaded with a new part to be processed.
