Thermoset Molding Compounds Manufacturer Launches New Site

The new Web site for IDI Composites International (Noblesville, IN), a formulator and manufacturer of thermoset molding compounds, contains information on converting new and existing products from traditional metals and thermoplastics to thermoset bulk molding compound (BMC) or sheet molding compound (SMC). Specifications of the physical and mechanical properties of BMC and SMC can be downloaded, as well as technical literature that provides in-depth information on thermoset composites. From fundamental thermoset composite data, such as the cross-linked covalent bonds that give the material its rigidity, to application-specific materials considerations, the new Web site is a resource for both molders and OEMs. Visitors can also read recent technical articles authored by company engineers, review news clips from industry magazines, and contact the company’s representatives.
