Teleflex Supplies Technology Focus for OEM Customers

Mansfield, MA, will provide a central contact point for Teleflex Medical customers.

A new technology center in Mansfield, MA, will be a central point of contact for Teleflex Medical OEM (Limerick, PA) brands. The facility will serve manufacturers that use medical devices including catheters, sutures, and guidewires. The services include product development, prototyping, CAD, and product fabrication.

“We've centralized the contact point for OEM services and made the product development process more efficient and convenient,” says Ed Boarini, vice president of R&D for Teleflex. “Before, our expertise was decentralized.”

Clients can interact directly with Teleflex's engineers and can even accommodate customers that choose to be directly involved with the product development process. Boarini hopes the center will help the company improve turnaround and get its customers' products to market more quickly.

Teleflex produces devices for urology, anesthesiology, gastroenterology, and respiratory care. The contract manufacturer operates in 26 countries.
