Visitors to the Spectrum Control Inc. (Fairview, PA) Web page at www.specpower.com can now order power-distribution units on-line using their credit cards. According to director of marketing Len Marsala, this useful feature was added to simplify and expedite the ordering process for individuals and smaller business entities. "When you're building a device and you need a power component right away, you don't want to wait for a purchase order to clear," he says. "Our credit card feature cuts processing time, allowing you to get what you need when you need it."

Another recent page addition, the Configure My PDU section, makes it easier for users to find products that match specific requirements. "This feature is a lot like those being offered by automobile manufacturers," says Marsala. "Visitors first select a desired base unit and then choose from a list of available options and accessories to get exactly what they need." Sample options include keypads, remote temperature sensors, power input cords, serial cables, and modems.

Spectrum Control is an ISO 9001 certified designer and manufacturer of power products and EMI/RFI filters. The company's product line includes ac and dc power distribution systems, breaker-interface panels, power outlet strips, and filtered datacom connectors.
