On behalf of MX magazine and BayBio, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the inaugural BIOMEDevice Forum. Developed by a steering committee of experts with business-building experience across the life sciences industry, BIOMEDevice Forum is an innovative new conference focusing on the convergence and cross-sector collaborations among companies in the biotechnology, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries. This executive-level event brings together key players involved in investing, partnering, licensing, and developing business opportunities in the rapidly growing market for innovative healthcare products.

It is no accident that this inaugural event has found its home in Northern California, a region that is widely recognized as one of the nation's strongest and most innovative cluster economies for the life sciences. With nearly 400 biopharmaceutical drugs and devices approved and already on the market, more than 400 biopharmaceutical products in the pipeline, and more than 200 medical device applications annually, Northern California's track record of innovation is unparalleled.

BIOMEDevice Forum is the executive conference component of an event that also includes two other important features. BIOMEDevice Partnering provides attendees with an automated system for scheduling partnership meetings with leading field practitioners. And the BIOMEDevice Exposition offers direct access to leading industry suppliers.

The three components of this inaugural event provide an outstanding example of the extraordinary opportunities that exist in Northern California's life sciences region. We hope that you will make the most of your attendance by adding your voice to the conference sessions, sharing your insights, challenging what you hear, and connecting with prospective partners and suppliers to discuss common interests. Above all, have fun and enjoy!

We value your feedback, and we encourage you to tell us how we can make the BIOMEDevice event as useful as possible for you.
