New MD&DI Board Member Brings Wealth of Safety Expertise

Eisner is the head of Eisner Safety Consultants (Portland, OR), which specializes in product safety, quality systems, and regulatory concerns for the medical device and in vitro diagnostic market. “We help clients navigate medical device and IVD safety and regulatory issues, including preparing products for testing, interfacing with the test agencies, achieving 510(k), CE mark, CMDR, and other international regulatory requirements,” says Eisner.

Previously, Eisner worked at leading safety agencies. He was with Underwriters Laboratories for nine years and worked as an engineering group leader. He has served as senior product safety engineer specializing in electrical medical products for TÜV Product Services.

Eisner is a member of the U.S. TAG for TC 62 (electrical equipment in medical practice), SC 62A (common aspects of electrical equipment in medical practice), and SC 62D (electromedical equipment).
