Miniature Connectors
Miniature electronic connectors manufactured by Omnetics Connector Corp. (Minneapolis, MN) are fabricated on a 0.025-in. pitch. The dual-row insulator is molded in polyphenylene sulfide, while a liquid-crystal polymer is used for the single-row connectors. The male contacts are stamped from beryllium copper and mate with screw-machined sockets derived from a brass alloy.
Dc Motors
Compact motors ranging from 1–150 W and 0.5–20 N•m are suited for use in peristaltic pumps, analyzers, autoclaves, and related devices. The dc motors supplied by Crouzet Corp. (Carrollton, TX) feature noise levels as low as 45 dB and a service life attaining 5000 hours.
Package Tester
Designed to verify the integrity of nonporous, flexible packages, Test-A-Pack F100-2700-2 automatically regulates the vacuum source and displays test data on a screen. Developed by Carleton Technologies (Orchard Park, NY), the unit replaces a previous model of integrity tester.
