Contract manufacturer Mack Molding Co. (Arlington, VT) was awarded for its work on Zoll Medical Corp.'s (Chelmsford, MA) portable automated external defibrillator. It took the first-place award in the Medical/Scientific division at the Society of the Plastics Industry's Structural Plastics Division conference (Lake Buena Vista, FL). Mack also received the overall conference award and was recognized for its innovative design process.
The company's focus includes prototyping, plastics design, and turnkey system assembly. It has seven facilities in the eastern United States.
Zoll Medical manufactures cardiac resuscitation devices, along with software that automates the management of clinical and nonclinical data. It has worldwide locations including those in Germany, The Netherlands, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
