Medical product purchasers can be reached by medical OEMs and distributors by using a Web site that aggregates information on more than 10,000 products. Blue Angel Technologies Inc. (King of Prussia, PA) has set up MediZaar.com as a tool for generating inquiries and sales. Site visitors can quickly identify products in categories ranging from anoscopes to ultrasound. Product and price listings on the site contain detailed descriptions, specifications, and images.
Manufacturers can list their products on the site for a minimal charge. There is no charge to distributors to identify and/or price the products they sell. Medical equipment manufacturers and distributors can also purchase display advertising on the site. The ads can be set up so an ad only appears when a customer views products offered by the respective company.
