Jabil Expands LCD and Plasma Capabilities

OUTSOURCING NEWS

Jabil Circuit Inc. (St. Petersburg, FL) has acquired the Texas operations of Incline Global Technology Services Inc. Terms of the acquisition have not been released.

The acquisition was made to expand Jabil's capabilities in liquid-crystal display (LCD) and plasma design services. “With the exponential growth in sales of LCD and plasma displays, demand for repair services is accelerating,” says Hartmut Liebel, president of Jabil Global Services.

The facility is located in Round Rock, TX. It repairs 20,000–25,000 LCD panels each month. The plant will serve as Jabil's LCD Center of Excellence for repair services, and Incline's technology and experience will be moved to Jabil's locations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Jabil offers electronics design, manufacturing, and product management services to electronics and technology companies.
