Fluoropolymer Extrusion Company Announces Expansion

Susan Shepard

Zeus Inc. (Orangeburg, SC; www.zeusinc.com) will undergo a multimillion-dollar expansion of its 83,000-sq ft production facility in Aiken, SC. The company is investing in new extrusion and heat-shrink production lines that will significantly increase capacity at its plant, which originally came on-line in 1999.

Zeus president and COO Jon Worley says, "The recent turnaround in the global economy has significantly increased demand for precision fluoropolymer extrusions in nearly all of our markets served. At the same time, companies have become increasingly selective in their choice of suppliers; they cannot afford any interruptions in their supply chains."

The firm currently operates eight production facilities on five campuses in the United States. Most have redundant capabilities, enabling the company to supply ongoing, large-volume orders.
