Automatic Fluid Dispensing
A dispenser that has a centered and balanced drive provides accuracy and stability within its entire 14-in.-wide travel. Each axis features preloaded ball slides and leadscrews for machine tool–like performance. The open bottom and removable pallet system means no mechanics or electronics are located beneath the dispensing plane. The design also provides a clear open line of sight for ease of loading from top, front, or sides. An advanced jog-and-teach routine sets up the dispensing pattern. A PC is not required, and there is no handheld or pendant controller to lose or damage. The intuitive operator interface features an LCD and touch pad to select dispense patterns and enable file management. A compact flash card stores all patterns and files.

Multispeed Filler and Dispenser
A filler and dispenser controls and monitors filling or dispensing operations over DeviceNet, EtherNet, EtherNet/IP, ControlNet, Profibus, or remote I/O. The HI 3010 unit offers fast and slow speeds with self-adjusting preacts to achieve accurate and repeatable results. Built-in totalizers keep track of the number of cycles and amount of material, as well as history totals for the unit’s 12 internally stored configurations. Alarms warn of overfill, feed time-outs, too many jogs, when it is not okay to fill, and when to change an IBC. Air-Free Dispensing Systems
A company offers a variety of air-free systems that can dispense light-sensitive adhesives, cyanoacrylates (CAs), epoxies, lubricants, or sealants. Traditional CA-dispensing systems that use polypropylene barrels as reservoirs inject air pressure into the barrel reservoir to drive the CA out of the dispense tip. Air contains moisture ions that cause the CA to bond with polypropylene, and this bonding process impedes the piston from traveling down the barrel reservoir, causing large variations in dispense amounts from one deposit to the next. The company’s LDS9000 AirFree CA system removes unreliable moisture-filled air from the dispensing process by replacing air pressure with a precision stepper motor and leadscrew assembly that is commonly known as a linear drive system (LDS). As with traditional dispensers, the CA is completely contained in the polypropylene barrel reservoir. Pistons and tip caps are specially treated with a noncontaminating release agent that inhibits bonding between the cyanoacrylate and polypropylene.
Available as a handheld benchtop system or designed for integration into any fully automated dispense station, the system runs on 115 or 220 V ac and is easy to program, ensuring tens of millions of highly repeatable deposits.
