Electronics Firms Sign Distribution Agreement

Susan Wallace

Lattice Semiconductor (Hillsboro, OR; www.latticesemi.com) and Mouser Electronics Inc. (Mansfield, TX; www.mouser.com) have signed an agreement for Mouser to distribute Lattice products in North and South America. Mouser’s inventory will include a full line of Lattice field-programmable gate arrays, complex programmable logic devices, and SPLDs. The ispLEVER 4.2 design tool suite from Latice will also be offered to Mouser’s customers.

“Our goal is to help make our customers more competitive,” says Steve Donovan, corporate vice president of sales for Lattice. “That is why Lattice continues to design, develop, and deliver innovative progammable logic devices to the market. Mouser will help us achieve our goal by making our products immediately and conveniently available to an expanded customer base in the Americas,” he says.

According to Glenn Smith, president of Mouser Electronics, the addition “fits perfectly with our business model of continuously offering the most innovative products and latest technologies to our customers.” He goes on to say that his company is suitable for design engineers because it has no minimum order size and is willing to break packs to fulfill small prototyping orders.

Mouser issues a new 1500-page print catalog every 90 days. More than 465,000 products are offered. Lattice supplies comprehensive solutions for system design, including a portfolio of nonvolatile programmable devices that deliver instant- on operation, security, and single-chip solutions for space savings.
