It's only a matter of time until FDA makes good on its promise to make electronic medical device reporting (eMDR) a mandatory requirement for medical device manufacturers. In "Electronic Medical Device Reporting", Peter Hyman points out that planning an e-reporting strategy now is essential to avoid a compliance crunch later. Hyman is a product manager at Sparta Systems (Holmdel, NJ). His diverse functions at the company include strategic consulting, business process analysis, implementation consulting, database implementation and configuration, and strategic product market analysis.
