Aubrey Group Inc. has announced the opening of its new facility in Irvine, CA. The 30,000-sq-ft building is designed to support product development and contract manufacturing. Aubrey Group's move to larger facilities comes in response to strong client demand for increased services. The company also hired several engineers to support the expansion. Aubrey Group works closely with start-ups, incubators, and entrepreneurs. The increased medical device investment has directly translated into increased demand for its services. Instrument development projects at Aubrey Group have included blood collection and separation devices, ultrasound cardiac ablation systems, bio-artificial liver systems, infusion pumps, radio-frequency generators, implantable sensors, centrifugal blood pumps, patient monitors, telemedicine systems, dental perioscopes, and ophthalmic surgery controllers. Clients include Alere Medical, Epicor Medical (now St. Jude Medical), Mission Medical (now Terumo Medical), and Thoratec.Copyright ©2006 Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry
