Pixus Technologies' 6U Dual-Power Backplane

A backplane, enclosure, and embedded-component supplier offers a 6U power backplane with dual 47-pin connectors in accordance with the PICMG 2.11 power interface specification. The power interface board has sense and current-share signals designed to optimize power regulation and distribution. Available with heights of 6.5U or 6U, a width of 16HP, and two CompactPCI hot-pluggable slots using standard 47-pin connectors, the board handles both ac and dc power supplies and accommodates rear power entry modules for 48-V requirements. Wire harnesses can be included to provide 3.3-, 5-, and ±12-V, as well as GND and control signals between the backplanes. The sense lines help the power board regulate the power at the load end efficiently, and the current-share lines allow multiple power supplies to share current across the power backplane slots.
