MEDICAL DESIGN EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2002

The 28 winners in the 2002 Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) program represent a broad range of achievements—from advances in manufacturing processes to technical innovations that would seem to be possible only in motion pictures.

The products highlighted on the following pages each received a gold award in this year's competition.

The 2002 MDEA program was sponsored by Battelle (Columbus, OH), DuPont Tyvek (Wilmington, DE), Avail (Fort Worth, TX) Chevron Phillips/K-Resin (Houston), The MedTech Group International (Plainfield, NJ), TriVirix (Chapel Hill, NC), and Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry. The program has also been endorsed by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
