William J. Feingold, 1929–2002

William Feingold was a 14-year member of MD&DI's Editorial Advisory Board.

Longtime Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry Editorial Advisory Board member William J. Feingold died February 23, 2002, in La Jolla, CA. President of Spektra Management Consultants (Carlsbad, CA) since 1987, Feingold was active in the medical device industry for nearly half a century. He held high-level positions in quality assurance and manufacturing for such companies as Cordis Corp., Critikon, Advanced Cardiovascular Systems, and Sonotek Corp.

Twice chairman of the Biomedical Division of the American Society for Quality Control, in 1988 and 1992, he was widely recognized within the medical device industry as an expert in manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs. He had been a member of MD&DI's editorial board since 1988.

At the suggestion of his family, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2655 Camino Del Rio N., Ste. 100, San Diego, CA 92108; or to the San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Ave., San Diego, CA 92103.
