If you are involved in the medical technology industry, chances are you are impatiently waiting for the upcoming Supreme Court ruling on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and the November election. You may be trying to predict how the combination of different election outcomes and Supreme Court rulings will impact the law. Now there is an online tool available that can help.

Healthcare intelligence business Leavitt Partners has launched Health Reform Bracketology. Inspired by the tradition in sport competitions to use brackets to look at different scenarios, the tool is designed to provide a systematic analysis of different Supreme Court and election outcomes and how the combination will impact healthcare reform.

The analysis draws upon the expertise of the Leavitt Partners FuturePanel, a group of healthcare experts. A user is given the option to select different outcomes, starting with whether the individual mandate and other aspects of the healthcare reform will be upheld or overturned by the Supreme Court. Next, the user chooses a 2012 election outcome. Afterwards, the tool offers an analysis of the future of healthcare reform based on the choices made. The analysis provides detailed insight into how various aspects of the reform could be affected.

To try the tool, visit www.healthreformbracketology.com.
