Battelle Offering Blends Development, Economics

Battelle Healthcare Products (Columbus, OH) has introduced a new service that can help device manufacturers better connect business strategy and product development.

Front-End Product Strategy aims to merge customer needs and what is best for the manufacturer's financial health.

The service offers a quantitative model of customer needs and the manufacturer's needs. “It uses a set of off-the-shelf tools that a lot of people in different walks of business strategy and product development are familiar with, but it is unique in the way it puts them together,” said Kaushik Ghosh, the new program's director. He noted that it can be combined with the company's other services that extend all the way to the shop floor.
