2013: A Watershed Year in Genetics (infographic)

23andMe may be fighting the FDA, but has built a nifty infographic to show how 2013 constituted a watershed year in the history of genetics. The infographic, while touching on the major news of the year, including FDA slapping the company with a warning letter in November, fails to include any mention of Illumina.

Illumina made a landmark announcement in January when it said that the company's technology now allowed the entire human genome to be sequenced for $1,000.
