A deep-draw cartridge heater is available for critical medical and analytical instrumentation. Conventional cartridge heater manufacturing requires a heli-arc joint weld to secure the end disc to the sheath’s tubing; however, these joints are subject to pin holes and weld imperfections that can cause moisture ingress and catastrophic failures. The approach for Model C-DD, in contrast, entails repeatedly drawing and annealing a singular disc of material until the tube is finished to specified sheath dimensions. The resulting product is a seamless, contiguous sheath similar to a test tube.
