CorWave

Based in Paris, CorWave seeks to fundamentally disrupt the left ventricular asist device market. It uses a patented wave membrane pumping technology for failing hearts that potentially could lessen complications caused by traditional LVAD devices.

The device pumps blood in an undulating disc wave pumping mechanism unlike the high-speed continuous flow rotary pumps, thereby aiming to potentially reduce trauma to blood, as well as bleeding clotting.
