These thread-whirling toolholders are designed to deliver high productivity in the manufacture of such high-precision parts as dental implants and bone screws with long threads, as well as other parts made on Swiss-type machine tools. The thread-whirling system incorporates a whirling-unit head equipped with eight cutting edges in contact with a rotating workpiece advanced longitudinally, and generates good surface quality and accurate part geometry while supporting long tool life.
