Dr. Leslie Saxon is a cardiologist by trade who brings heart to the mission of treating patients. As the head of the Center for Body Computing at the University of Southern California, Saxon believes that wireless health can enable healthcare to become more patient-centric.

The CBC is creating the tools that can accelerate wide and meaningful disemmination of medical data to patients. It synthesizes elements from the diverse worlds of business, engineering, entertainment arts and medicine to create new, innovative paradigms all with the goal to enhance the quality of life, especially for the 2 billion people worldwide who lack access to healthcare.

Back in October 26, 2007, Dr. Saxon hosted the First Annual USC Body Computing Conference, which brought together people from all walks of life - authors and futurists as well as leaders from the fields of medicine, design, entertainment, the FDA, investment banking, and pharmaceuticals for a "day of intense discussions about the nascent but exciting field of wireless physiologic monitoring" according to CBC's website.

By TEDMED in 2012, she was proclaiming, "Health rights are one of the last great civil rights issues," which was met by loud applause.
