If you didn’t have to worry about FDA, cash, or reimbursement, what medical device would you build? The editors of MD+DI invite you to participate in the Dare-to-Dream Medtech Design Challenge.

Go ahead and design your dream medical device. The biggest dreamer will receive a $500 check and two runners up will go home with $100 checks.

Sure, it’s not enough to start your own company, but it could buy you a few more cups of coffee to stimulate those design ideas. You’ll also get bragging rights for the rest of the year.

All submissions should be based on technological plausibility. In other words, if your device incorporates time travel or mystical healing properties of the Phoenix (as seen in the first Harry Potter movie), your entry will not be judged.
