All-Electric Taping Machine Designed for Packaging of Coiled-Tubing Products

An all-electric taping machine is designed for use in the packaging of coiled-tubing products. The Tayp-R employs cohesive tape, which adheres to nothing but itself. The taping machine can be used to dispense and apply cohesive tape around medical tubing assemblies. As a cohesive-tape dispenser, the unit can produce any length of tape, either one piece at a time or in sets of multiples. The tape length and the number of pieces can be set on the machine. Pushing a button starts the operation. To perform taping, an operator pushes the tubing coil into the jaws of the machine; the tape is then wrapped around one side of it. The tape dispensing–machine can run on 120 or 240 V ac.
