Which of these six dream devices would you like to see become reality?
What medical device would you design if finances weren't an issue, regulatory hurdles were absent, and reimbursement were guaranteed? That's the question we posed to MD+DI readers in the 2016 Dare-to-Dream Medtech Design Challenge. Our readers took up the call and did not disappoint, dreaming up innovative solutions to a host of tough healthcare problems. The following six finalists have been chosen to vie for three prizes--$500 for the winner and $250 and $100 each for the first and second and runners up, respectively. Our esteemed judges--Bill Evans, of Bridge Design, a Ximedica company; Dr. Stephanie Kreml, with Accordion Health; and Wende Hutton, at Canaan Parters--will decide the winners, to be announced November 1.
