10 Disruptive And Influential Women in Healthcare
MD+DI lists the top 10 women with various persuasions and backgrounds who are looking at ways to improve an outdated healthcare system and bring it into the 21st Century.

Here are 10 women in healthcare who are spearheading change, disrupting the marketplace with new ideas and innovation, and enshrining policies to build a stronger 21st Century healthcare system in the United States.

In alphabetical order, they are:

Dr. Amy Baxter, CEO, MMJ Labs

Dr. Amy Baxter is the founder and CEO of MMJ Labs, but she is probably better known as the award-winning inventor of Buzzy, a drug-free, palm-sized needle pain blocker for both adults and kids aged 4 and above.

The idea for it came to Baxter as a pediatric emergency physician. Baxter is also the founding board member of the Society of Pediatric Sedation and director of Emergency Research for Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Scottish Rite, and a clinical associate professor at Medical College of Georgia.
