Medical Murray (North Barrington, IL) has opened its second facility dedicated solely to manufacturing medical devices. The device development and contract manufacturing company can accommodate short-run production and ongoing volume production projects with weekly or monthly ship dates.

Featuring two large ISO Class 7 cleanrooms, the 18,000-sq-ft plant enables the company to expand on its core capabilities in manufacturing complex disposables, implantables, and custom catheter systems and components. The ISO 13485-certified facility's cleanrooms house injection molding and catheter-forming machines, braiders, and equipment for bonding, sealing, packaging, and inspection applications. Also located in the new facility is the company's assembly team, which is experienced in handling nanosized devices that require assembly and inspection to be performed under a microscope.

Focusing on the vascular, surgical, and urological markets, the company specializes in polymer material science and molding technologies, and can customize machine design and integration. The company can also help OEMs locate additional manufacturing sources or manage the transfer of device designs to other contract manufacturers.
