Transfer Valve
Available from Halkey-Roberts Corp., a split-septum swabbable transfer valve for infection control has been designed to eliminate the need for access needles. Specially created to handle viscous materials that must be transferred in large volumes, it can be accessed with a standard catheter-tipped syringe. The valve is designed to accommodate 13-mm-ID tubing or 8.4-mm-OD tubing. Available with a polycarbonate body and silicone stem, the valve is made from ISO 10993-compliant, latex-free, and DEHP-free materials.

Peristaltic Pump
Among the sealless, valveless peristaltic pumps Watson-Marlow produces for contamination-free pumping is the 400/RX1 pump for medical devices. This peristaltic pump, supplied in custom configurations as required, is suited for catheter washing and cooling applications calling for pressures up to 100 psi or flow rates as high as 80 ml/min. It offers intuitive, ergonomic tube loading and unloading, a clear guard for full view of pump operation, and a guard-open safety switch. Available as a complete plug-and-play cased pump or as a panel-mount unit, this pump achieves high pressure by using precision-machined components and a spring-loaded track to maintain occlusion of the tubing as pressure rises. Because all pumped fluid is fully contained within the tubing, pump cleaning requires nothing more than replacing the disposable tube set.
