Boston Scientific hopes these seven technologies will help the company grow faster than the overall medical device market this year.

Boston Scientific ended 2013 on a good note. The Natick, MA, device maker announced in an earnings call today that it posted 5% operational growth for the fourth quarter of last year.

”We estimate that most of our business units grew faster than the market,” president and CEO Michael F. Mahoney told investors on the call.

And the plan, he said, is to ensure the same is true in 2014.

To keep the ball rolling this year, Boston Scientific is betting big on a number of new technologies.

“Our pipeline of new products such as S-ICD, WATCHMAN, PREMIER, Alair, SYNERGY, Lotus, and VESSIX are advancing, and we expect them to generate a more meaningful revenue contribution in '14,” Mahoney said.

Here’s a look at the seven products Boston Scientific hopes will bring success this year.
