Which Medtech Companies Hired the Most People in the Last Five Years? (Baxter International)

Baxter International with headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois, makes products that treat hemophilia, kidney disease, immune disorders and other chronic diseases and conditions.

It became the foremost medtech hirer of the last five years through its $4 billion acquisition of Gambro, which was completed in September.  Headcount swelled by 10,000 of which Gambro accounted for 8,000. Overall employment increased to 61,000 last year.
