GE Healthcare was a pioneer in miniaturizing ultrasound, as evidenced by its Vscan handheld ultrasound device.

Although it's still sitting pretty high in the top 10 , GE Healthcare lost its No. 2 spot to Medtronic this year, falling one spot, to No. 3. Last year, Anders Wold, president and CEO of GE Healthcare's ultrasound business, explained how the company is embracing miniaturization and mobile health in its global strategy.
