At an open house, Spartanics will be demonstrating its high-speed label laser die-cutting machine.

Spartanics (Rolling Meadows, IL) will cohost an open house event with EFI (Foster City, CA) on June 24 and June 25. Taking place at Spartanics's facility in suburban Chicago, the open house will serve to demonstrate the use of the company's high-speed label laser die-cutting machine in conjunction with EFI's Jetrion 4000 UV ink-jet system.Featuring optimization software promoting ease of use, no costly tool designs or changeover, and the elimination of liner burn-throughs or melted adhesives for simple label removal, the Spartanics Finecut label laser die-cutting machine can be operational either in- or off-line. The company will also be showing off its Finecut sheet-feed laser die-cutting machine, which it claims is the only galvo-head laser die-cutting system in the world that continuously feeds sheets without starting or stopping between sheets. This capability, according to the company, is suitable for sheet-fed applications related to the manufacture of medical devices and components.Complementing Spartanics's portfolio of die-cutting systems will be EFI's Jetrion 4000 UV ink-jet printer. EFI touts the system as "the first narrow-web digital press suited to economically run lengths of [more than] 50,000 labels, working in conjunction with the Spartanics Finecut label laser die-cutting machine at web speeds of [more than] 100 m/min while maintaining cut-to-print registration of ±0.1 mm." Full-color label printing up to 13.9 cm wide is achieved. To attend the free event, preregister by contacting [email protected] or calling 847/394-5700 x 1302.
