Onyx Medical Corp. (Memphis, TN), a family-owned manufacturer of medical devices, has broken ground on a new manufacturing facility and corporate headquarters. The event is also a celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary. Onyx Medical manufactures high-quality precision devices that include drill bits, screws, pins and wires for use in the orthopedic industry. Onyx currently operates out of a 30,000 sq ft facility. The new facility is slated to be approximately 53,000 sq ft and expandable up to 72,000 sq ft. The building is expected to be completed in spring 2011.
